Biennial Convention Salerno

From Tuesday 7 to Saturday, October 25, 2014, special discounts at the Biennale of Contemporary Art which will begin Saturday, October 11 at Palazzo Fruscione in Salerno.

Lloyd’s Baia Hotel could not remain indifferent in the face of the emergence of a major cultural event for the city of Salerno: the first edition of the Biennale of Contemporary Art. From Tuesday 7 to Saturday, October 25 a special convention is reserved for all participants in the Review that will transform the city into a world capital of Art.

The participation of some 360 ​​artists from different countries, an international jury and 500 works on display. Plus many related events, panel discussions and debates focused on issues of interest to the social, environmental and cultural. The Biennale is born with the desire to convey important messages against violence through art. The award is dedicated to Trotula de Ruggero, the first woman doctor of the world and important figure of the School of Medicine.

The first edition will be inaugurated Saturday, October 11 in the historic center of Salerno, at Palazzo Fruscione, while the Award ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 17th. It will be the first Biennale in the world to experience the preparations and the sets sustainable: all that will be used in the exhibition rooms, furnished to the food court, it will be fully realized by recycling (artistic) waste.
